Designed by Michele De Lucchi, the Alessi Capsule Crusher transforms the simple act of recycling into something intentional. Its pleated form takes inspiration from fashion and architecture, bringing a sculptural elegance to the everyday. By compressing used aluminium coffee capsules, it makes your daily ritual both more sustainable and more refined.
Finally got around to installing it in the kitchen, and honestly, the way it compresses capsules down is so satisfying to watch—it makes the whole routine feel less wasteful. The pleated body catches the light nicely on the counter, and it’s sturdy enough that I don’t worry about it tipping over mid
It sits on my counter like a little sculpture, and the pleated design honestly makes me look forward to crushing cans. Feels solid in the hand, too, not flimsy like the old crusher I had.
The pleated design is genuinely striking—it turns a boring kitchen chore into something I actually look forward to. Using it feels almost architectural, and the way it captures light makes me keep it out on the counter instead of hiding it away.
