Aquiares Estate sits on the slopes of the Turrialba volcano, Costa Rica’s hidden coffee gem. Home to both coffee and community, the farm has become a model for sustainable production, environmental research, and long-term thinking.

This lot is a Mariana F1 hybrid, grown at Aquiares Estate and processed using the Red Honey method. After the cherry skin is removed, the mucilage is left intact as the coffee dries on raised beds for 18 to 24 days. The result is a coffee shaped by careful farming, patient processing, and one of Costa Rica’s most progressive estates.

Sofia ★★★★★

Tried this on a slow Sunday morning and the clarity surprised me — you can taste the volcanic soil influence without it being heavy. The sustainable farming story behind it makes that first sip feel even better, honestly.

Sebastian ★★★★★

Pulled a shot with this after letting it rest four days off roast, and the sweetness from the Turrialba slopes really comes through clean. It's my first Costa Rican single-origin and the sustainable farming angle makes each cup feel a little better.

Riley ★★★★★

Brewed a cup this morning and the character from that Turrialba volcano slope is unmistakable — smooth, clean, no bitterness at all. Knowing the farm balances sustainability with community makes it taste even better, honestly. Third bag I've ordered, and it's consistent every time.
